Welcome to River Lane Black Boxers! We are located in the historic Deep South on Surrey Trail, in the beautiful Dearing Downs section of Helena, Alabama, a bedroom community just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Magnolias, honeysuckle vines, and Confederate Jasmine are all as at home here as are our beloved Boxers! River Lane Black Boxers is owned by Dr. James D. Davis along with his small Boxer family. With over 35 years of experience, we have shared our puppies and our lives with families across the country. I was mentored by two legends in the canine industry, Leon and Shan Shiver of the Montgomery Kennel Club. Because of their years of experience and success with Pointers and Boxers they were a treasure of canine help to me. The Black Boxer is in reality a sealed, (reversed) brindle with no obvious stripes, which sometimes appear, but are very obscure. The aristocratic Boxer comes across as a striking distinguished individual in black and white! The Boxer is known for its beautiful square head with a soft, intuitive expression. Boxers are intelligent and easy to train and are known for their loyalty. With a powerful muscular body, our sire, River Lane’s Black Colt is known for his laid-back, easy-going temperament and is a great family companion. |

All of our River Lane puppies are raised in our home for proper socialization and handling from birth. Our home is designed for our puppies to live with us, so we can provide a healthy environment, to build the foundation that will help them grow to their full potential. Paying attention to how a puppy grows, from the day he is born, is important for the very health and vitality of each puppy. And, we believe that the first eight weeks of a puppy's life, is of vital importance in determining his later behavior as an adult. Our puppies are handled continuously, and are exposed to our everyday life, and everyday noises, to create a positive social experience that will enable them to become lifelong companions. |
